Walking: The 2.4 km walk around Killyfole Lough on the doorstep of “The Ashes” provides a wonderful escape in an area designated as one of outstanding natural beauty. The walking route circles the Lough on purpose-built stone chip, boardwalk and concrete paths. Sections of The Ulster Way and Sliabh Beagh trails are also close by.

Fishing: The Fermanagh Lakelands is a haven for anglers. Killyfole Lough houses Roach, Perch and Pike and has many fishing stands. Corranny is a small lough nearby with eleven fishing stands. The Lough is stocked annually with 3000 takeable rainbow trout. Fishing methods include fly, spinning and worm. Lough Corry also a short distance away is home to Brown Trout. A short drive brings you to Lough Erne which comprises the Upper Lough east of Enniskillen and the Lower Lough which runs west to Belleek. The Lower Lough is a large expanse of water, over 15 miles long with numerous islands and bays. These provide vast areas of shallow water and rocky shores making for ideal fishing grounds.

Golf: A host of renowned 18 hole parkland golf courses are within a half hour drive of the The Ashes including Lough Erne Resort (Faldo Designed), The Slieve Russell, Enniskillen Golf Club, Castlehume Golf Club, County Cavan Golf Club, Rossmore Golf Club and Clones Golf Club.
